What is the Conwy pirate Festival?

Every a year pirates drop anchor in the river and moor up along the harbour for a weekend full of fun and mischeif. The pirate festival is based on the harbour but the festivities spill out into the whole town centre and castle with everyone joining in the fun.

There will be activities, music and lice music across the weekend. It's quite the spectacle!  

What's happening this year?

Pirates will be arriving at 10:30am and attacking the harbour - there's real cannons! There will also be crabbing competitions and barrell rolling and keg races along the quay.

In the evening on Saturday, live music from 7pm with the swash-buckling Old Time Sailors.

There is much more happening across the weekend including more music, fancy dress competitions, live cannon firing and pirates in the stocks, and a market.

When is it?

The festival takes place over the weenend of Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May.

How much does it cost?

The festival is free! However, to the Old Time Sailors on Saturday night there is a ticket charge of £30.
