Pumpkin picking in North Wales
October 17th 2021
Halloween is always a fun time of the year on our parks as it's a chance for everyone to have a bit of fun and show some community spirit. Unfortunately, this year due to the pandemic we're not able to safely put on a party in Molly's for our Coed Helen owners but there's still ways we can have fun.
This year, halloween falls on a Saturday which means many of our owners will be at their holiday homes - why not go pumpkin picking with the family and show off your carving skills and display them in your window or on your decking? Here's the best places to take the family pumpkin picking this year.
Hooten's Homegrown Farm Shop
Hooten's is a popular farm shop located in Brynsiencyn in Anglesey - easily reachable from all three of our parks! This year they have opened their pumpkin patch to visitors. Kids love roaming the field and finding their perfect pumpkin - plus dogs are also welcome so it really is a fun day out for the entire family!
Once this years pumpkin has been ceremonisouly chosen from the patch you can visit the farm shop for highquality and local produce, plus there is a very good cafe too. Prices of pumpkins vary according to size.
Malpas pumpkins
Ok, this one isn't located in North Wales, it's located in Whitchurch but seeing as though many of our parks' owners are located just across the border we'd thought we'd include it here. You could take a detour on your way to your holiday home.
Booking is not necessary, as with Hooten's but Malpas advises on wearing sensible footwear such as wellies. Especially for excitable kids that may be running around huntind down the perfect pumpkin.
Pumkins are set at a fixed price of £2 for small, £3.50 for regular, and £6.50 for "giant". In addition to the pumpkins, there's a bouncy castle and miini-diggers, each £1.50.
